Trap

AAF&G has run a very active trap program for decades. We have two regulation trap fields and a third being refurbished. We use high-capacity Pat-Trap machines capable of throwing singles, doubles, and handicap. Sign in is located in the trap trailer at the top end of the club parking lot.

In late 2018, we became a recognized Amateur Trapshooting Association (ATA) club and starting in 2020 we will be throwing ATA Big 50s.

Shooting is allowed only when a Duty Officer is present. The trap range is open to the public 10am–12pm every Friday. AAF&G members and their guests are welcome 10am–1pm on Saturdays. We accept cash or checks (no credit cards) for range fees.

Shot restriction: Please note that we only allow low-brass #8 lead bird shot, 3 dram equivalent or less, 12 gauge or smaller bore in order to protect our shot curtains. Please check the most recent Range Rules for any updates.
